UGC Chief Announces Self-Assessment Platform ‘SATHEE’ for Students

The University Grants Commission (UGC) chief, M Jagadesh Kumar, recently announced the upcoming launch of a new self-assessment platform for Indian students called SATHEE (Self-Assessment for Talent Hunt through Efficient and Effective Testing), an e-platform that offers personalized coaching, feedback and counselling services to Indian students who are preparing for various competitive exams. 

What is SATHEE?

• SATHEE is a free online coaching and guidance platform for Indian students that will be launched by the Ministry of Education (MoE). The platform aims to help students prepare for competitive exams like NEET and JEE by providing access to high-quality study material and coaching.
• SATHEE's study material includes video lessons that are prepared by faculty members from IIT and IISc, two of the most prestigious institutions in India. 
• SATHEE offers self-assessment tools that help students identify their strengths and weaknesses. By identifying areas that need improvement, students can focus their efforts on those areas and improve their chances of success in their exams.
